A Coachella Valley native, Byron Smith fell in love with the game of golf at an early age, honing his natural abilities through local and regional circuits. He graduated from Cathedral City High School, went on to play golf for Pepperdine University, and then enjoyed a successful career as a touring professional for 15 years. Smith competed worldwide before playing on the PGA Tour from 2014 to 2015. After retiring from professional golf, Byron settled in the desert with his wife, Amber. Now a father of three, Byron created Smith Golf Co. as a way to share his lived experience and of the often-challenging, yet rewarding, road to the PGA Tour.
As someone who’s spent countless hours practicing, competing and working with some of the best instructors, I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge that I want to share. I created this indoor golf studio, utilizing the latest Trackman technology, for golfers of all ages and stages. Whether you’re a parent who wants to introduce your kid to the game, a junior who needs an edge to be #1 on his team or go to a D1 college, an average weekend warrior who wants to beat his buddies, or a true 'golf-sicko’ who can’t get enough of the game, SGC is for you.
